American Woman Dies While Visiting Boyfriend in Delta, Police Launch Investigation

Delta Police confirm the death of a 60-year-old American woman, Jacqueline, who died while visiting her boyfriend in Udu LGA. Her partner is in custody as investigations continue.

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 60-year-old American woman, Jacqueline, who passed away while visiting her boyfriend in Udu Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson Bright Edafe said Jacqueline’s partner, identified as Alawode, has been taken into custody as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Reports indicate Jacqueline arrived in Nigeria from the United States on September 15 to spend time with her partner. She reportedly developed health complications days later and was rushed to a hospital in Warri, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.

The police assured the public that a thorough investigation is ongoing to ascertain the exact cause of her death.
