FCT, Abuja – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors for holding a political meeting in Zamfara state.

Legit.ng recalls that the PDP Governors’ Forum warned Nyesom Wike and others against interfering with the November 15, 2025, national convention in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

The ADC described the event as “insensitive” and a show of disregard following the kidnapped of 144 people, 24 killed and 16 injured across several LGAs in the state.

As reported by TheCable, the ADC national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, made this known in a statement issued on Sunday, August 24, 2025

“Instead of the governors to rally around their beleaguered colleague to help stop the @rgy of killings, they chose to stage a political rally at the scene of mass murder, even if it meant trampling on the memory of the victims.”

Abdullahi criticised the PDP governors for grinning for the camera days after dozens were killed in the state.

He said the PDP governors in full ceremonial robes is totally out of place when the people are mourning.

“This act alone further underlines an important fact: neither the ruling APC nor the incurably afflicted PDP cares about the people and their suffering. They only care about power and politics.”

The ADC also slammed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for the spate of killings in Zamfara and Katsina states.
