Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has rebuffed recent appeals for a rotational presidency, tagging it an outdated system.

He said this at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday while addressing State House Correspondents. This was after a meeting with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)

Bello also said that he will consider the various calls from Nigerians and run for presidency come 2023.

He further emphasised the need for Nigerians to put a high premium on virtues such as competence and capacity when electing the next president.
