2027: Oyebanji, Tompolo Mobilise Ekiti Voters for Tinubu’s Re-election

The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 25 vehicles to support grassroots mobilisation for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Tompolo announced the donation through his representative and Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi in a statement on Thursday, at the inauguration of the Ekiti State chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Ado Ekiti.

He urged voters in Ekiti State to support Tinubu’s re-election, describing the President as a respected Yoruba son whose policies, according to him, had contributed to economic stability and increased financial resources for state governments.

Speaking through Pondi, Tompolo said the removal of petrol subsidy and the implementation of economic reforms had enabled governors to pay salaries and pensions and execute development projects.

“Today, we have an economy that is stable because of President Tinubu. Today, governors have money to pay salaries and pensions, and they have money to execute projects because President Bola Ahmed Tinubu chose to be bold enough to remove petrol subsidy and to implement the reformative policies he put forward,” he said.

He explained that the donated vehicles would facilitate door-to-door campaigns and mobilisation across polling units, wards, local government areas, constituencies and religious centres.

According to him, the movement’s objective is to mobilise voters across the country to support Tinubu’s re-election and ensure the continuation of his reform agenda.

Tompolo also urged members and leaders of the movement to use the vehicles and other campaign materials judiciously to take the President’s message to communities across Ekiti State.

Speaking at the event, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s support in the state and called on voters to ensure that the President secures at least 80 per cent of the votes in the 2027 election.

Oyebanji described Tinubu as a major contributor to his administration’s achievements, arguing that federal government support had been instrumental to the implementation of projects and programmes in Ekiti.

He recalled that the All Progressives Congress received 85.7 per cent of the votes in Ekiti State during the last election, expressing hope that the party would record significant support again in 2027.

“My plea to Ekiti people is this, that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win in Ekiti is not in contention, but by how much?” the governor said.

He argued that Tinubu had treated Ekiti favourably and urged residents to support the President’s re-election to sustain the development programmes being implemented by his administration.

Oyebanji also cautioned against voter apathy, urging political mobilisers to reach eligible voters who possess Permanent Voter Cards but did not participate in previous elections.

He said the campaign must focus on encouraging greater participation rather than assuming that Tinubu would win without a strong turnout.

The governor commended Tompolo for donating the vehicles and supporting the movement’s mobilisation efforts, describing the initiative as a challenge to political stakeholders in Ekiti State.

Also speaking, the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Stephen Aribasoye, commended Tompolo for extending the campaign to different parts of the country.

Aribasoye said the state government’s achievements were linked to support from the Tinubu administration and argued that the President’s re-election would enable Oyebanji to continue implementing his programmes.

He expressed confidence that Ekiti voters would give Tinubu substantial support in the 2027 presidential election.
Earlier, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, urged residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for Tinubu.
