The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of failing to pay its staff for more than a year, questioning the party’s ability to manage the country’s affairs if elected into office.

In a statement by its spokesperson, Dele Alake the council alleged that the ADC National Working Committee, led by Senator David Mark as chairman and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as secretary, had neglected the welfare of party workers.

The APC council also challenged the ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of having a history of unpaid staff salaries in his businesses, including Gotel Communications, while criticising Aregbesola’s record on workers’ salaries and pensions during his eight-year tenure as governor of Osun State.

It alleged that Aregbesola’s administration introduced quarter-salary and half-salary payments and left pensioners without adequate support for extended periods.

The Council described the alleged failure to pay ADC staff as evidence of what it called the party’s insincerity, arguing that an organisation unable to manage its workforce’s welfare should not be entrusted with governing Nigeria.

The statement urged Nigerians to reject the ADC, Atiku Abubakar and the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
