The Asiwaju Group (TAG), one of Nigeria’s prominent PBAT groups, has finalised its strategic plan for campaign activities supporting the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, after a meeting with Prince Ade Omole. The group’s National Coordinator, Hon Oyinkan Okewoye, and Co-National Coordinator, Alhaji AbdulRasaq Danjuma, visited Prince Omole over the weekend at the Transcorp Hilton to review the plan and settle the final details ahead of rollout.

This was no ceremonial courtesy call. It was a working meeting, with the calendar, the structures and the people who will carry out the work all on the table.

The two coordinators took Prince Omole through the group’s proposed plan, from grassroots engagement and community-level mobilisation to youth and women outreach and the coordination of campaign messaging across the states and zones where TAG is active. Prince Omole, in turn, offered his thoughts on how the plan could be sharpened and how the group’s work can best complement existing party and support structures.

By the close of the meeting, the parties had agreed on the key activities, the timelines for rolling them out, and the responsibilities for each region and team. TAG says the plan is now ready for implementation.

Prince Omole directed the TAG team to work in step with the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Support Groups Directorate so every effort pulls in one direction.

“Every group that believes in this project has a part to play, but no group can carry it alone,” he said. “The TAG team must work and align with the PCC Support Groups Directorate so that our efforts are brought together and not scattered. When we share information, coordinate our programmes and speak with one voice, we multiply our strength, and that is how we deliver success. Teamwork makes the dream work, and this is a dream worth working for.”

The leadership described the discussions as frank and productive. They agreed that the work ahead depends on discipline, early and consistent engagement with voters, and a sense of purpose among all who believe in the Renewed Hope agenda.
