Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has opened up on a personal complication he suffered after the brain surgery he underwent in the United States in 2015.

Agwu had three brain tumours, one said to be the size of a golf ball, and underwent surgery at the time.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Beer Parlour Talk Show uploaded on Saturday, the comedian disclosed that he experienced loss of sexual function after the procedure.

Asked if the condition or surgery affected other aspects of his health, including sexual function, Agwu said: “After I do am, prick no dey work again now. He no dey work.”

Other participants on the programme, including Mr Patrick, discussed the nerve involved in the surgery and its connection to the brain while trying to explain the effect.

Agwu also reflected on his influence on Nigeria’s comedy industry, saying he pioneered music comedy.

“Music comedy na me form am o, that is to tell you how my brain dey work,” he said.

The conversation turned emotional as Agwu broke down in tears while recounting how friends abandoned him during his health crisis.

“God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I go dey look. My friends deserted me. They stopped talking to me, many of them. It is well,” he said.
