Trump Oil and Gas Holdings Gains up to $15.5 million During Iran War – CNBC

US President Donald Trump’s disclosed oil and gas holdings may have gained as much as $15.5 million this year as energy shares rose during the Iran war, CNBC reported, citing Democratic staff on Congress’ Joint Economic Committee.

Trump reported holding between $12.5 million and $45.6 million in oil and gas stocks in his 2025 financial disclosure. The committee estimated that those holdings had risen about 39% on average through Aug. 17, putting their value as high as $61.1 million.

A White House spokesperson said neither Trump nor his family could direct or influence how the portfolio was invested, adding that all investment decisions were made by independent managers.
