Army Warns Nigerians Against Fake Recruitment Publication

The Nigerian Army has warned members of the public against a fake recruitment publication circulating on social media claiming that applications for the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake have commenced.

The Army, in a statement signed by the Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Directorate of Recruitment, Captain AU Hammanga and posted on X on Wednesday, said the publication was false and should be ignored.

“The publication is false and should be disregarded in its entirety,” the Army stated.

The Army said it has an established procedure for announcing recruitment exercises and urged prospective applicants to rely on its official communication channels for authentic information.

“The Nigerian Army maintains a clear and official procedure for announcing recruitment exercises and related activities and will duly inform the public through its official channels once the portal for 92 Regular Recruitment Intake is formally opened,” the statement said.

The warning comes amid concerns that fraudsters could exploit the fake recruitment notice to deceive job seekers and collect money from unsuspecting applicants.

The Army reaffirmed its commitment to conducting recruitment exercises transparently and professionally.

“The Nigerian Army remains committed to transparency and professionalism in all recruitment processes,” it stated.

It also strongly cautioned members of the public against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes.

The Army advised prospective applicants to verify all recruitment information through its official channels before submitting applications or making any payments.

The Nigerian Army urged the public to disregard the circulating publication until an official announcement is made regarding the commencement of the 92 Regular Recruitment Intake.
