Captain Rasheedat Ajibade, experienced striker Asisat Oshoala and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie were among the first players to report as the Super Falcons opened their training camp in Casablanca, Morocco, on Monday ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, Prompt News Online reports.
Also present on the opening day were Ogbonna Glory, Christy Ucheibe, Fatima Oloko, Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran and Shukurat Oladipo.
The camp marks the beginning of Nigeria’s preparations for the continental tournament, with head coach Justine Madugu expected to welcome the remaining 16 players over the next few days before the team begins full-scale training.

Madugu recently named a 25-player squad for the competition, combining seasoned campaigners with promising young talents as the Super Falcons bid to retain their continental crown.
The tournament will take place in Morocco from 26 July to 16 August 2026, with Nigeria set to relocate to Rabat after the initial camping phase in Casablanca.
The defending champions will begin their Group C campaign against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, 28 July, before taking on Zambia and Egypt in their remaining group fixtures.
Nigeria heads into the tournament as the most successful team in WAFCON history, having won a record 10 titles.
The Super Falcons will be aiming to capture an unprecedented 11th continental crown while also securing qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with the four semi-finalists earning automatic qualification
