“We Will Be in This Battle for 20 years,” Mohbad’s Widow says Amid DNA Dispute

Wunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has publicly addressed her father-in-law, Mr Joseph Aloba, amid the ongoing dispute over a DNA test involving her son, Liam.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, she insisted that she had always supported the idea of a DNA test and accused the family of misrepresenting her position.

“I will prove it to you over and over again that all of these things you are doing will not affect me,” she said. “Do what the court asked you to do with me. Beg me, if you don’t do that, we will be in this battle for 20 years, I am still here.”

She also stated that Mr Aloba had no authority over her son, adding that legal attempts would not change that position. “One thing I love is that you got it right yesterday, that you have no power over Liam. Go to the high court, go to the appeal court, go everywhere,” she said.

Wunmi maintained that she was the one who initially pushed for the DNA test and had tried to handle the matter privately. According to her, she had earlier reached out to Mohbad’s father and offered to bring Liam forward for testing, but her request was declined.
