The body of former Green Eagles legend, late Henry Nwosu, MON, has been moved by his family from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, to his ancestral home, Owerri, Imo State.

Nwosu died three days ago after a brief illness aged 62 years.

His former teammate in the 1980 AFCON winning Green Eagles, Chief Segun Odegbami disclosed the movement of the body of the late midfielder in a post on a social medial WhatsApp group yesterday.

“This is the first step in the process of preparation to his laying him down to mother-earth,” Odegbami announced.

“His immediate family will be meeting with other family members and stakeholders soon, to determine how to give the legendary, exceptionally-gifted, Nigerian football hero a befitting burial,” he noted.

Nwosu is survived by his wife, four children and three sisters.
