Faithia Williams Loses Mother Hours Before 55th Birthday Party

Popular Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has been thrown into deep mourning following the death of her mother, a tragedy she only learned about after hosting a party to mark her 55th birthday.

The actress broke the news via an emotional Instagram post on Monday, disclosing that her mother passed away shortly before the celebration. She explained that the painful information was intentionally withheld from her until after the event.

Faithia recounted that although her birthday fell on Thursday, February 5, she decided to hold the celebration on Sunday, unaware that her mother had died the previous day. Reflecting on the loss, she described her late mother as her strongest supporter, confidant, and prayer partner.

“Dear friends, it was my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5. However, I chose to have a party yesterday, Sunday,” she wrote.

“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother died on the eve of my party, and the news was cruelly kept away from me.

“The reality of her passing has not totally dawned on me because she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner wrapped in the invaluable gift of a mother.”

“Your love and prayers will mean a lot to me and my siblings this period. Burial details will be announced later.”

This heartbreaking loss comes barely two years after Faithia announced the death of her father in April 2024, marking another painful chapter for the actress and her family.
