‎A 26-year-old lady has been left heartbroken after discovering details of her husband’s real age.

‎The lady identified as @Idarabasimi on X (formerly Twitter) shared that she got married in December 2025, keeping her husband’s identity undisclosed.

‎In her lengthy tweet, she shared that during their relationship, her husband told her he was 34.

‎However, while going through his files and documents, she found his passport which revealed his birth year was 1972.

‎Lady Confronts Husband Over His Age

‎The X user shared that the discovery left her stunned, and after confronting her husband, he admitted he wasn’t aware of his current age.

‎In her tweet, which has garnered over 2.3 million likes, she rejected a 37-year-old man’s advances, stating her husband deceived her into marriage.

‎I am a young girl of 26 years who got married in December. My husband told me he was 34 years old when we were dating. Today, I was going through his file and documents and saw his passport where his birth year was stated as 1972.This means he is 51 years old.

‎I have been crying since I stumbled on this. When I confronted, he said age is just a number and that he didn’t know he was up to 51 years old. Can you imagine? 

‎In 10 years, he will be 61 years old while I will be 36 years. He has apologised but will I ever forgive myself for making this type of mistake?

‎I rejected a 37 year-old man, 51 year-old man deceived me and married me. Will I ever forget about this? Should I go for a divorce? I never planned for this type of life. Not that he is rich, I only married him to build with him.
