Meet Omooba Adeniyi Muftau Abimbola, A Leading Contender for Awujale of Ijebu-Ode Stool

He was born 59 years ago as the first son on the 7th June into the ABIMBOLA royal family of Late Omooba Adewale Mojeed ABIMBOLA (1937-2022) and Late Olori Ibidun Felicia ABIMBOLA (1943-2019) of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Ile Nla Compound, Agunsebi, Ijebu – Ode, Ogun State.

EDUCATION
He attended St. Mary Nursery and primary School, Surulere, Lagos and Igbobi College, Yaba (1978-1983 set) where he sat for his WAEC exams in 1983.

He gained admission into University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife) to study Pure and Applied Mathematics in 1983. He Graduated in 1987 with a B.Sc (Hons).

He Served his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Sokoto State (1987-1988) where he was given an award as the most dedicated Corper during his primary assignment.

He proceeded to the University of Lagos for a Post Graduate programme in Computer Science graduating in 1990. In between, he enrolled for his ICAN intensive training at Mayo Accounting Institute in Lagos.

WORK EXPERIENCE
He started his career as a Computer programmer/Consultant at Dataflex Nigeria Limited overseeing the development of customized software for clients for some years before joining the family business (Trio Commodities Limited) in 1993 which specializes in the distribution of commodities within the country.

With changing economic environment, the company has diversified into Oil and Gas and logistics.

Currently, he is the Managing Director of the company.

Prince Abimbola is married and blessed with children and grandchildren.
