Pastor Chris Okafor Kneels, Apologises to Doris Ogala (+video)

Senior Pastor Chris Okafor has publicly apologised over the controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, marking a dramatic turn in a saga that has dominated social media in recent weeks.

In a video that surfaced online from his Sunday church service, on December 28, the senior pastor was seen standing before his congregation, openly addressing the allegations and backlash that followed the dispute between him and Ogala.

During the emotional moment on the altar, Okafor admitted that mistakes had been made in the past, while also insisting that several claims circulating online were untrue. Despite this, he took responsibility for any hurt caused and offered a direct apology.

“Mistakes have been made in the past. Please take note, everything that was said was never the truth. There are so many lies,” he said. “But however, I say I’m very sorry to everyone I’ve offended. To Doris Ogala, I also say sorry and I apologise.”

The pastor further stated that he was willing to make restitution to anyone affected by the situation, including any woman who may feel wronged.

He went on to describe himself as imperfect, saying the experience had marked a turning point in his life. According to him, he has embraced what he called a “new beginning” following guidance from a senior spiritual mentor he referred to as a “father of faith.”

“I’m not perfect. I’ve never been perfect,” Okafor told the congregation. “But I tell you, I’ve had a new beginning since the coming of this father of faith into my life.”
