A video of Eruku community residents celebrating the return of 38 kidnapped worshippers has gone viral, capturing the relief and joy.

The victims, members of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), were abducted during a service on Tuesday, November 18.

Worshippers Abducted During Church Service

The 38 church members were taken by suspected bandits while attending a regular service.

The abduction caused widespread shock in Kwara State and beyond, sparking outrage and concern for the safety of worshippers.

Five Days in Captivity

The captives spent five days in the hands of their abductors before regaining freedom.

While the release brought relief, many Nigerians are asking why no bandits involved have been arrested or neutralized.

Community Celebrates Freedom

In the video shared by X user Chuks, residents of Eruku are seen singing joyous Yoruba songs and praising the God of Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola, the founder of CAC.

Women led much of the celebration, expressing gratitude for the safe return of the worshippers.
