Drama as Godfrey Okoye VC Storms Female Hostel over Davido’s Concert in Enugu

Godfrey Okoye University’s Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, has sparked reactions after storming the female hostel to take attendance and ensure no student sneaked out for Davido’s concert in Enugu.

The unexpected visit reportedly took place yesterday, same night Davido’s concert lit up Enugu, drawing thousands of fans from across the state.

In the trending video shared on X by @AsakyGRN, Rev. Anieke was seen walking through the ladies’ hostel, taking attendance to confirm every student’s presence.

The VC’s impromptu inspection aimed to enforce the school’s strict rule against attending off-campus social events without permission.

Many students were left stunned, as they never expected the university’s head to personally show up for a nighttime roll call, while others could be heard chanting Davido’s name.

One online user commented, “Father Anieke no dey play! Imagine missing Davido’s show just because of roll call.” Another wrote, “This one pass surveillance o. VC taking attendance himself? Only in Naija!”

While some found the VC’s move hilarious, others praised his dedication to discipline and concern for students’ safety.
