A shocking incident has unfolded in Isieke, Awo-Omamma, Imo State, where a widow was reportedly subjected to a horrifying ordeal after being accused of killing her husband.
According to witnesses, the grieving woman was allegedly locked inside the ambulance carrying her late husband’s body for more than two hours. Before the burial could proceed, she was also said to have been forced to drink the water used to bathe the corpse.
Residents claimed the act was a form of “traditional test” to prove her innocence in the man’s death. The disturbing event, which reportedly took place just before the burial, has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians condemning the community’s actions as cruel and inhumane.
