Nollywood veteran Bukky Wright has issued a public warning after discovering that scammers have been using fake social media accounts in her name to defraud unsuspecting fans.

The actress took to her verified Instagram page on Thursday evening to alert the public about the impersonators who have been posting false information and misleading content using her identity.

Wright particularly addressed a viral post advertising a supposed job opportunity in the UK, clarifying that she had nothing to do with it and that it was created to deceive people.

Prompt News reports the actress, who is based in the UK, stressed that she would never ask for money, personal data, or engage in any private chats outside her official account.

“Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested money. I will never request personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page,” she stated.

“A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in the UK and we realized it was fraudulent. Please disregard. Your safety and trust mean so much to me,” Bukky Wright added.
