Barrister Yemi Ayodele Ayeni
The Onigede of Igede-Ekiti, Oba James Aladesuru II is set to confer the chieftaincy title of Aare Bamofin on Barrister Yemi Ayodele Ayeni.
The chieftaincy title which has been approved by the Oba-in-Council of Igede-Ekiti, will be conferred on Barrister Ayeni, at the forthcoming AKE Day celebration on November 8, 2025.
A letter signed by the secretary to the Council, High Chief Dada Kolawole Peter, says the people of the community have long admired and respected Barrister Ayeni for his “unwavering dedication to righteousness, justice and philanthropy.”
The letter reads further, “Your commitment to helping those in need, your integrity in your dealings and profound belief in doing good have exemplified the very essence of what it means to be a true leader and noble person in society.
“May this gesture symbolise the deep respect and admiration we hold for you and may it serve as a token of our enduring appreciation for your efforts in making our town a better place for all.”
A British-Nigerian trained Barrister and Solicitor, Yemi Ayeni is from Oye-Ekiti. He holds Bsc – University of Ilorin, LLB – University of East London, BL – Nigerian Law School, MSc – Edinburgh Napier University, LLM – Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and PhD in Legal Jurisprudence and Constitutionalism (awaiting convocation) also from Robert Gordon University, Scotland.
