The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has called on Nigerians who lost money to the collapsed cryptocurrency trading platform, Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), to come forward and assist in ongoing investigations.

In a statement issued yesterday, EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale, urged victims to report at the commission’s zonal offices in Ibadan and Lagos.

“Victims who invested through individuals linked to CBEX offices in Ibadan and Idimu, Lagos, are urged to assist ongoing investigations by reporting to the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, 164, Reverend Oyebode Crescent, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, and the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2: 7A, Okotie-Eboh Street, Ikoyi, Lagos,” the statement read.

The commission is currently prosecuting three suspects — Adefowoara Abiodun Olanipekun, Otorudo Avwerosuo, and Ehirim Justice Chukwuebuka — alleged to have defrauded unsuspecting investors through CBEX.

The EFCC said the appeal to victims is part of its efforts to ensure justice and strengthen the ongoing prosecution.
