The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has continued its investigation into the widely publicised Ibom Air incident involving passenger Comfort Emmanson and cabin crew member Julie Edwards.

Yesterday in Abuja, Edwards and other members of the Ibom Air crew appeared before an NCAA panel as part of the fact-finding process.
The session was conducted by officials drawn from the directorates of Aviation Security; Operations, Licensing, and Training Standards; Legal; and Consumer Protection, all working together to ensure a transparent conclusion to the matter.

Emmanson, the passenger at the centre of the controversy, is expected to appear before the Authority later today, accompanied by her lawyer, to present her own side of the story.
The probe stems from a heated confrontation earlier this month after Emmanson was accused of flouting safety instructions during a flight, leading to her forcible removal from the aircraft by Ibom Air staff.
The incident, which was captured in viral videos, has since sparked public outcry and raised questions about both airline procedures and passenger rights.
The NCAA has assured the public that the investigation will be thorough and impartial, with a view to establishing accountability and reinforcing safety standards in the aviation sector.0
