The Vice President of The Clem Agba Foundation (TCAF), Princess Catherine Agba, has called on everyone to take action and raise awareness to find the “missing millions” who are unconsciously living with hepatitis.
Princess Agba made the call in a statement she issued on the occasion of this year’s (2020) World Hepatitis Day. Titled: “2020 WORLD HEPATITIS DAY: A CALL TO ACTION,” she lamented that several million people around the world remained undiagnosed and would continue to suffer, with several deaths recorded.
The statement reads: “On the 2020 World Hepatitis Day, The Clem Agba Foundation (TCAF), a non-governmental, non-religious and a non-profit organization, committed to the fight against hepatitis joins other organizations and individuals around the world to call on everyone to take action and raise awareness to find the “missing millions” who are living with hepatitis, unawares.
“Several million people around the world remain undiagnosed and continue to suffer from several deaths recorded. “Finding these undiagnosed millions and linking them to facilities where they can get tested and access treatment accordingly remains the core mission of our Foundation.
“Since its inception in 2014, our foundation has carried out numerous hepatitis awareness campaigns, screened and carried out vaccinations for thousands of at-risk individuals. “In years to come, the foundation will strive to ensure that its activities are extended to every part of Nigeria.”
