Two new cases of the COVID-19 infections have been confirmed in Ondo state. The cases confirmed today are the 17th and 18th cases of the pandemic in the state.
The state commissioner for health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, who confirmed the report, explained that the patients were from Lagos and Sokoto states.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for information, Donald Ojogo confirmed that five more COVID-19 patients have been discharged. According to Ojogo, treated and discharged patients have become eleven.
As at today, only six active cases are being monitored in accordance with globally-accepted protocols at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Akure, the state capital.
