Nigerian-born Ernest Ezeajughi, from Anambra State has been re-elected the Mayor of Brent, London after what was described as splendid first term performance.
With his re-election, he has joined the elite league of blacks and Nigerians making waves in different parts of the world.
The London Borough of Brent is one of the most important Boroughs in London, comprising of Wembley, Kilburn, Willesden, Harlesden and Neasden, among others.
The Vice Presidential Candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the last election, Mr. Peter Obi said he was delighted with the news of Ezeajughi’s re-election as the Mayor of Brent, noting that his return to office was a blessing to Nigeria as well as another testimony that given the right environment, Nigerians would excel in Nigeria and any part of the world.
Obi said he was confident in Ezeajughi’s ability to continue to lead the Brent Community successfully and wished him well in his journey.
Similarly, his townsmen, Chief Okey Ezibe from Awgbu said they were proud of the international exploits of their son and advised him to continue to keep to the part of rectitude.
