The Nigerian Ministry of Health has been given the approval to launch the “e-NHIS” system, an electronic medical and management system. The system will enable the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and other public stakeholders to manage patient claims, as the Federal Government moves to digitalize service delivery.
This was disclosed by the Federal government on Wednesday via its official Twitter handle. The system vendors would be Galaxy Backbone Ltd and NIGCOMSAT.
The tweet reads, “The Federal Ministry of Health today got approval for a project to introduce “e-NHIS”: an electronic medical records & Mgt system for NHIS”
“The System will allow interoperability with all public & private sector stakeholders – to manage patient records & claims.
” Vendors: NIGCOMSAT & Galaxy Bone Ltd.”
