Being the text of the ministration at the Breakfast Prayer Meeting organised in Lagos on Saturday by the Men’s Fellowship of the Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Omole, Lagos.

DECLARATIONS

  • Psalm 66 v 12 – (WEALTHY PLACE)

“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.”

  • Psalm 107 v 38 – (NO DECREASE)

“He blesseth them also so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.”

  • Jer. 30 v 19 – (MULTIPLICATION)

“And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”

  • Be ETERNITY conscious. (Pay attention to making eternity)
  • Pay attention to your Family.
    • Spend time with your family
    • Be patient with them
    • Be friendly with them
    • Build your Family Financial Portfolio (FFP)
    • Through savings
    • Because of any eventuality
    • Have a will
    • Protect your nuclear family from extended family members.
    • Don’t report them to your siblings.
    • Don’t expose your nuclear family.
  • Pay attention to your Health.
    • Exercise
    • Eat Garlic
    • Ginger
  • Pay attention to your Spiritual Life.
  • Pay attention to your means of livelihood.
  • Pay attention to your Peace. Be at peace with yourself – “I am at a place in life where peace is a priority. I deliberately avoid certain people to protect my MENTAL, EMOTIONAL and SPIRITUAL state.”

  • Be in charge of your family spiritual wellbeing.
  • Set the Spiritual atmosphere.
  • Let the family members know God.
  • Be in charge of the Family Altar.
  • Mobilise the family members to study the word and pray together.
  • Let them know that “When you are prayerless, you are careless”.
  • Teach them Godliness.
  • As Fathers
  • Prov. 20 v 7

          “The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.”

  • Model fatherhood to your children.
  • Display integrity and transparency.
  • Show them how to be responsible.
  • Train up your children rightly.
  • Teach them Godliness, Integrity and industry.
  • Encourage them.
  • Be there for them.
  • Let them have fond memories of you as a father while growing up.
  • Befriend your children.
  • Discipline them in or with love.
  • Don’t be an absentee father.
  • Don’t be a sergeant major father.
  • Love their mother openly.
  • Go on vacations with them.
  • As Husbands
  • 1 Pet. 3 v 7

“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

  • Love your wife unconditionally
  • Live with her with understanding
  • Treat her with respect
  • Treat her as your queen
  • Defend your wife
  • Shield her from external and internal aggression.
  • Admire her always.
  • Know her love language
  • Provide for her.
  • Don’t abuse her mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually
  • Recognize that she is a weaker vessel and your better half.
  • Give her listening ears always.
  • Allow her express herself.
  • Help her to fulfill her purpose in life.
  • Satisfy her sexually without reservation.
  • Communicate clearly to her
  • Show her stainless affection.
  • Always tell her “I love you”
  • Be transparent to her. Don’t hide things from her.
  • Let her be your watchdog.
  • Recognize her woman power
  • She is foresighted, gracious, fashionable, delicate, tender and attractive.
  • Know that your wife is a great intercessor.
  • As Providers
  • 1 Tim. 5 v 8

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

  • You are to provide for your family
  • Trust God the Jehovah Jireh.  The Lord who provides will provide for you; give you new ideas, insight, uncommon favour and occupation.
  • Note that the family wellbeing depends on you.
  • You are the family caretaker.
  • Your family is your primary priority after God.
  • Ensure that the family needs are met.
  • As Defenders
  • 2 Thess. 3 v 3

“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”

  • You are uniquely equipped to protect your family.
  • Defend your family emotionally, physically, finically and spiritually.
  • Shield them from extended family attacks.
  • Make your family well secured.
  • Protect your family from predators and danger.
  • Don’t let them be harassed.
  • Protect your family theologically. Keep them from heresies and false doctrines.
  • As a Godly husband, protect your wife from the children not allowing them to threaten or abuse her with words, attitudes or fist.
  • Also, intervene in the way your wife disciplines the children not allowing her to be harsh or abusive towards them.
  • Protect your family from abusive overbearing or interfering family and friends.
  • As Deliverers
  • Rom. 11 v 26

“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob”

  • Pay close attention to your family.
  • 1 Pet. 5 v 8 – 9

v.8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour”

v.9 “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”

  • Don’t allow your family to be defenseless.
  • Deliver them from the roaring lions through close watch, prayers and other means.
  • Deliver them from anything that can depress them.
  • Take the bullets for your family.
  • Deliver them from lack, seeking succor elsewhere by providing for them as at when due.
  • Let their welfare be your priority.
  • As Mentors/Teachers/Counselors
  • Prov. 22 v 6

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

  • A man must teach the family:
