The former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Dino Melaye, has cautioned President Muhammadu Buhari against threatening End SARS protesters.

According to Melaye, the decision of Nigerians to march out is their right, hence threats should be avoided.

He further stated that the technic that should be applied by the federal government is fairness, consideration and cooperation.

Melaye who took to his Twitter account wrote, “My advice to President Buhari on threats to EndSARS protesters.”

“Though force can protect in emergency, only justice, fairness, consideration and cooperation can finally lead men to the dawn of eternal peace. Protest is an inalienable right. SDM”

The President on Monday vowed to deal with hoodlums who hides under peaceful protest to breakdown law and order.

The President stated this following the fresh protests in Osun, Abuja and Oyo States on Monday.
